06 October 2011 10:45 by PayPoint.net (IMA)
London, 6th October 2011: VetUK, the online supplier of pet products and medications, has announced that it has reached a company milestone, processing over £750,000 worth of online transactions each month. PayPoint.net securely handles the tens of thousands of orders VetUK receives in an average month and now also processes the payments for VetUK’s new own-brand range, PetUK. Launched in August 2011, PetUK offers customers reasonably priced everyday pet essentials and will start offering medicines later this year.
The rapidly growing leader in online pet supplies turned to PayPoint.net to handle its large volumes of transactions, leaving VetUK to focus on its service offering and fast expansion. Since switching payment providers, VetUK has seen sales growth accelerate, as it offers more payment options and experiences fewer aborted sales. In addition, PayPoint.net provides a highly resilient, secure payment platform, which protects VetUK’s customer data by adhering to payment security standards such as PCI DSS and 3D Secure. Advanced fraud screening tools are also in place to ensure VetUK and its customers do not fall victim to fraud.
PayPoint.net’s solution helps VetUK manage transaction peaks as customer demand varies according to the season. Meanwhile, PayPoint.net is also supporting VetUK’s move into mobile commerce. Its payment platform includes the flexibility to process payments through mobile apps, which VetUK aims to launch later this year.
Iain Booth, managing director, VetUK comments: “We’ve been delighted with the level of service we’ve received from PayPoint.net. We trust the team completely, and have every confidence that our payments are being processed efficiently and securely, not just now, but as we continue to grow. It gives us more time to focus on giving our customers access to a huge, and expanding, range of affordable pet products and medicines online.”
Michael Norton, managing director, PayPoint.net, adds: “For companies like VetUK, which process high volumes of transactions and are looking to expand their payment options, a reliable and secure payment platform is essential. We’ve seen more of our customers looking to expand into mobile commerce and this is certainly an area of growth. However, because it’s in its infancy, adequate and secure payment processes are even more important. It’s good to see VetUK has put the necessary measures in place to fully benefit from this channel. We’re pleased to be supporting its businesses development going forward.”
